  • The Mariner "Super Magnum" is in the second series of outboards produced under the original Alterscale owner Karl Beisel.

This is one of two Mariner versions available. The Mariner Super Mag has the 225 decal located on the front of the cowl and "Super Magnum" on lower unit. The other version has the 2.5L decals with red/silver stripe on lower unit. Each version has the respective engine installed under the cowl.

The Super Mag version has a much higher production run than the 2.5L version with 400 models made. These motors are crafted in 1:9 scale and measure 7 inches tall.

The V6 Mercury motors were all sold with the powerhead installed under the cowl. The same body style was produced in 6 varieties. All 6 motors had the same exterior body style with only paint, chrome details, internal motor and decal differences.

  • The V8 Powerhead kits were originally sold separately from the motors. These aftermarket kits were intended for installation on the Johnson GT300's and the Evinrude XP 300's. The V8 powerhead kit was only available with chrome velocity stacks and NOT the red velocity stacks that are found on the Telmex and Danbury Mint Evinrude XP300 motors. No aftermarket red velocity stack motors were ever made available. Only 1,000 V8 powerhead kits were originally produced.

The V8 Powerhead kits were very detailed and included eight chrome velocity stacks, red high intake manifold, fuel lines and spark plug wires. After correct installation, the outboard motor still ran as originally intended.

    Kit included:

    • Two highly detailed V8 powerheads that retrofit fit into the1:9 scale V8 outboards. (Johnson and Evinrude)

    • Two sets of metal "fuel lines" (one set per powerhead)

    • 4 Longer screws (2 per powerhead) to attach the powerhead in place over the internal electric motor under the cowl

    • Two new cowling clasps (one per powerhead)

    • Instructions on installation

Seven Marine - Retrofit V8 Cowls

  • Offered in 2016, Seven Marine V8 outboard cowls came in six unique colors and branding styles. The styles included a Gale Sovereign 60HP, a West Bend Tiger Shark, 3 "The Judge" 1960's GTO inspired cowls (orange, blue and green) and one unbranded white version for hobbyists to create their own variations

The cowls were created in a resin material rather than diecast metal for cost savings. These cowls were specifically made to retrofit on all V8 Alterscale motors (Johnson and Evinrude). In expectation of low demand, the Seven Marine cowls were produced in a very limited quantity and specifically made for the hobby-level market.

    Notable Traits:

    • 6 original variants

    • Limited edition of:

      • The Judge Orange: 14
